In the heart of the hamlet of shelf, The Duke of York offers a warm, friendly, local feel to guests from near or far. Built in the 16^th century and originally purposed as a coaching inn, the Grade 2 listed building is now a popular restaurant and bar. Following an exterior and interior refurb in late 2018, The Duke now boasts a modern feel while keeping the traditional features of the building.

We can cater for almost any event at The Duke of York including Birthdays, Anniversaries, Funeral teas, and Baby Showers and many more. Our ambient restaurant can cater for up to 45 guests for a sit-down meal or up to 70 guests for a buffets and/or Canapés.
